BLEUE BURNHAM
Bleue Burnham’s eponymous men's jewelry line is grounded in environmental sustainability and inspired by a British modernity that continually explores concept, culture, and recycled precious metals. After learning the principles of wax modelling, Burnham started making jewelry for himself and friends in 2014 (while completing his studies in environmental sustainability and fashion) and by 2018 he launched his first collection. Designs are intended to nurture a positive connection between the jewelry and its wearer, focusing beyond an exquisite aesthetic on human well-being and contributing to a meaningful existence. Recycled sterling silver and 9 karat gold are handcrafted into contemporary pieces that exude a captivating playfulness, emotively integrating historical references through a collective narrative that touches on various British countercultures. Textured signet rings and pendant necklaces form the canvas for baguette-cut sapphire stones in pink and blue, while a selection of curb chain and open band bracelets with hand-distressed detailing are imbued with a sophisticated ease. Its overt hallmarking, seen across all collections, conveys a deep respect for British heritage jewelry and provenance. For every piece of jewelry it sells, packaged in recycled foam, Bleue Burnham plants a tree.
